New Pathways to Teaching

Brookdale Community College is collaborating with participating New Jersey Community Colleges and New Jersey City University (NJCU) to offer New Pathways to Teaching in New Jersey (NPTNJ).

The program provides an opportunity for people who did not complete a traditional teacher preparation program, to become teachers. The program takes one year to complete, starting early summer and concluding the following June.

Eligibility Requirements
Bachelor`s degree - or higher
2.75 minimum GPA in an undergraduate or graduate degree (sorry, no exceptions)
Hold a Certificate of Eligibility (CE) in the subject area you plan to teach

Information Sessions
If you are interested in learning more about New Pathways, please attend an information session (application process and registration are included in the sessions; and there is a $5 fee).  NEW DATES WILL BE POSTED THIS SUMMER, FOR FALL `07 SESSIONS.
