The following page will seek to help you navigate your way through the world of chemistry. I have tried to provide useful and authoritative resources to aid in your studies. The page will be divided into the following sections: The Basics, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Databases and Helpful Research Sites.
I hope you find these useful and as always if you have any comments or questions feel free to contact me at schudnick@brookdalecc.edu

Web Elements -- The first periodic table ever posted on the web. Has pictures showing element structures and periodic properties. |
| Periodic Table -- A photographic version of the periodic table built by Wolfram, the people who bring you the World of Science sites. Hundreds of pictures, stories and facts about the elements. | |
|
Chemistry.org -- The web presence of the American Chemical Society, the leading professional association for Chemists. Lots of contents for students and educators. |
| General Chemistry Online! -- A resource for students and teachers of introductory chemistry. Includes interactive tutorials, quizzes, databases, and tools, as well as interactive molecular models and searchable databases of glossary terms, frequently asked questions, and Web site reviews. | Web-sters' Organic Chemistry -- There is so much information and links available related to Organic Chemistry here that I do not even know where to begin to start describing it. I suggest having a look and poking around a bit. Just make sure you scroll down past the opening credits to get to the content! |
|
Eric Weisstein's World of Chemistry -- An online encyclopedia of all things chemistry. Use this site as a reference as you make your way through homework and in reviewing for exams. Check out his many other Worlds for other subjects, too. |
Purdue's
Division of Chemical Education -- Help with General and Organic Chemistry
topics. Includes lecture demonstrations, test banks, help with problem
solving and other resources all from Purdue University.
|
| CHEMWEB 2000 -- Despite the fancy name and attempts at being hip, this is still a good site for students and teachers as well. It includes a searchable glossary, videos, online labs and lots of other good content. Very easy to navigate. | OCHeM.com -- Organic Chemistry Help eMediately! Includes web cards, tutorials practice questions, old exams and even help with labs! Put together by Thomas Poon, a Chemistry Professor in California. |

(Directory from Indiana University at Bloomington. Site is designed to help people find and learn how to use chemical information resources on the Internet. Be sure to click on Resource Guides, Databases, and Instructional Materials) |
(From the Librarian's Index to the Internet, content is reviewed and evaluated by professional librarians.) |
(Based in Glasgow, Scotland, links to info on all branches of Chemistry based upon the Dewey Decimal Classification System. Brings a British and European view to the field.) |
|
(Web site designed for the specific needs of chemists. Its mission consists in collecting and independently annotating all useful chemistry sites. The authors stress quality, not quantity.) |

(Hosted by the Federal Government, this allows searching across 30 databases and over 1,700 science websites.) |
|
(Content compiled and organized by the original masters of Web Directories. 1416 sites and counting!) |
(An online database of Chemical Structures and Property Predictions. The people from ChemZoo have built it to aggregate and index chemical structures and their associated information all in one place) |
(An on-line educational package covering the basics of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Put together by a professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology.) |
