Math2.org -- Formerly Dave's Math Tables. Dave has provided a good number of formulas for you to consult. |
| S.O.S Mathematical Tables and Formulas -- In a panic or a pinch? Have no fear! Just head on over to S.O.S. Math and quickly access math formuals as organized by topic. | |
| Dictionary of Algorithms and Data Structures -- What better place to consult for Algorithms, Data Structures, Problems and more than from an on-line dictionary hosted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology? | |
| Mathematics Software -- Looking for some software to help with your math studies? Check out this site from Florida State University. If you can't find what you are looking for, e-mail the site with your suggestions! |
Sites in the Lefthand Column Help with All Your Courses, the Others are Designed for Specific Subjects

This is a virtual encyclopedia of math information. Articles are indexed -- by topic and alphabetically -- and hyperlinks lead you to relevant topics throughout the site. Information for all your classes is provided on this free site partially supported by the National Science Foundation and created by Eric Weisstein. |
Want to brush up on Calculus Problems with step-by step solutions? Want tips on preparing for Calculus Exams or want to try your hand at actual sample tests? Well, visit this site put together by educators at several universities across the USA and have at it. |
Created by Kim Peppard at West Texas A&M University, this site provides tutorials covering everything from pre-algebra through college level algebra. Each is named for the subject/concept that they cover. Included are graphs, equations, functions and even practice tests to help you assess what you're learning. |
|
The goal of this site is to have you "Learn Mathematics while you play with it!" First designed and maintained by a math lecturer while teaching in Singapore, it covers material from Algebra, Trig, Calculus, and Statistics by using Flash, Scientific Notebook, and Live Math Interactive Documents. There are even some math games and links to math blogs provided. Information for some necessary downloads is provided.

Looking for a site to deliver practical algebra lessons? Check out Purple Math. Whether you want to brush up on Preliminary, Beginning, Intermediate or Advanced Algebra, or if you just want help with Word Problems, this award-winning site developed by a Math Educator is something to consider. Why Purple? It seems the designer's son liked that color best when she was choosing the color scheme. Then, when it was time to name the site and all the easy-to-think of math-related names were taken, she settled on Purple Math. |

Looking for help with homework or prepping for a test? Can't make it to the Math Lab? Consider S.O.S Math. It has over 2,500 pages of concise explanations to many math questions. Select your course from the index list under the S.O.S. Mathematics graphic and start surfing away. |
Designed for students and teachers this is a home for Statistics Information on the Web. It contains a number of interactive tutorials and exercises using guided, dynamic applets. Key statistical concepts covered include sampling distributions, the central limit theorem, hypothesis testing, and statistical power. |
This site generates its content dynamically as you select your topic. That's why I had to bookmark that ugly blank page where you need to press Enter. Coverage includes linear equations and matrices, determinants, vector spaces, and linear transformations. These modules help students learn and practice basic linear algebra procedures. |
This site is for you...if you can think of other fun sites to include, email me!
| Pi and the Fibonacci Numbers -- A thorough investigation of two of the most famous mathematical concepts around. Incudes things-to-do, references, links, and lots and lots of math. | ![]() |
| The Largest Known Primes -- Now anytime someone asks you a question about prime numbers you can refer them to this site or visit it yourself for the answer. It explains what a prime number is as well as listing the really, really big ones. | |
| Platonic Realms -- This site has a little bit of everything for math lovers. Downloads, quotes, history, news, games, even an encyclopedia and some "mini-texts". Check out the "Coping with Math Anxiety" section if you're stressing out over your coursework. | |
| MacTutor History of Mathematics -- An interesting collection of math history materials developed by two math professors at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Information is indexed in any number of ways -- alphabetically, chronologically and by topic. They even have a "Famous Curves" index for fans of shapes. | |
| MegaConverter2 --It's mega! It's a converter! It's a calculator! This site lets you do a bunch of things like convert fractions to decimals, convert fahrenheit to celsius and vice-versa, convert Roman numerals to ours, and so forth. It also provides you with a mega calculator to play with as well. If the two mathematicians in the picture at right had the MegaConverter2 they might actually be smiling. |
