Slanted Surfaces

A slanted surface is one that is not parallel to either the horizontal or vertical axis. When slanted surfaces are projected, the shape of the surface becomes distorted. The slanted surface will appear shortened in orthographic views.

When the true shape of the slanted surface is required an auxiliary view must be drawn.
