ACADEMIC STANDARDS

The Academic Standards Committee is charged with the review of academic standards pertaining to programs and services offered by the College. The committee will review and recommend revisions of existing policies, regulations, procedures, and practices which impact upon the achievement and maintenance of College standards in the academic purview and, when appropriate, will suggest new ones.

2008-2009 CHARGES TO ACADEMIC STANDARDS:

TRANSFER CREDIT

The Committee should:

1. Identify all avenues the college offers students to receive transfer credits.
2. Identify processes and procedures already in place for each method.
3. Review and recommend updates to College Regulation 6.1003R, Transfer Credit.

ELIGIBILITY FOR GRADUATION

The Committee should:

1. Review College Regulation 6.1700R, Eligibility for Graduation, and recommend any necessary changes.

MEETING SCHEDULE 2008 – 2009

Ø Academic Standards generally meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 11:45 am – 1:15 pm in MAC 202.

Ø Specific 2008-2009 scheduled dates are as follows: 9/9, 9/23, 10/7, 10/21, 10/28, 11/18, 12/2, 12/16, 1/27, 2/10, 2/24, 3/3, 3/24, 4/7 and 4/21.
