PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Professional Development Committee is charged with developing and evaluating the policies of the faculty, support staff and administrative committees for full and part-time employees of the College. The committee coordinates with Human Resources to provide college-wide orientation programs for all employees.

2008-2009 CHARGE TO PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT BLUEPRINT

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT RESOURCE GUIDE UPDATE

The Committee should:

1. Identify annual college-wide priorities and themes in accordance with the Professional Development Blueprint;
2. Recommend methods to forecast and communicate these priorities and themes to college employees;
3. Continue to develop, enhance and recommend programs and processes that support the goals of the Professional Development Blueprint;
4. Update the Professional Development Resource Guide based on relevant documents including the Professional Development Blueprint.

MEETING SCHEDULE 2008 – 2009

Ø Professional Development generally meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 11:45 am – 1:15 pm in MAC 210.

Ø Specific 2008-2009 scheduled dates are as follows: 9/9, 9/23, 10/7, 10/21, 10/28, 11/18, 12/2, 12/16, 1/27, 2/10, 2/24, 3/3, 3/24, 4/7 and 4/21.
