Lab Hours

Policy

The Media Authoring Lab may be used by Brookdale students, faculty and staff who can demonstrate competency in the use of:

• Adobe, Dreamweaver and Macromedia software
• PC or MAC platforms
• Scanning and digital input/output devices
• FTP on the College network

We keep a roster of students who are currently enrolled in or have successfully completed courses requiring demonstration of these competencies. These students have first priority for use of the equipment and software.

Other Brookdale students, faculty and staff, able to demonstrate these competencies, have access to the Lab as second priority users.

Library staff assist in the use of the hardware and software, but do not teach the applications or provide production services in the Lab. Faculty and staff can go to the Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology, LIB 147, for instruction in media authoring and assistance in digital input.

The media lab is not open to the general community.
