Mission Vision Values Actions Assessment

Information Literacy
  • Work with faculty as they integrate information literacy and the Library's resources into their curriculum plans and syllabi
  • Design, evaluate and revise information literacy workshops to meet the demand resulting from the adoption of the core competencies
Information Resources
  • Increase the budgets for library materials and networked resources by providing data on usage and need to the Educational Services decision-making process
Faculty and Staff
  • Provide Library staff with equipment and training equal to the current technological requirements
  • Expand opportunities for professional development to facilitate the learner-centered environment
  • Make the case for a direct connection between increased enrollment at the College, the inclusion of information literacy in the core competencies, and the need for additional librarians
  • Design and deliver appropriate staffing for the Communiversity at Camp Evans
  • Improve intra- and interdepartmental communication and connectivity
Technology
  • Evaluate alternative means and devices (e.g. PDAs) to meet the increasing demand for network access in the Information Commons
  • Evaluate and revise our website to be more resourceful, more easily navigated and integrated with the College's website
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies for storage and retrieval of information (e.g., DVD)
