...access the databases from home/off-campus?

The Bankier Library provides remote access to subscribed online databases, indexes and resources from home or off-campus. Due to licensing restrictions, access is limited to currently enrolled students, faculty and staff via proxy server authentication.

Please call 732-224-2443 or email library help desk if need help connecting to the library databases

Access Online Resources from Home, Office, Etc...

  • Launch a browser, connect to any database from the Databases / Articles by Topic web page
  • An authentication web page appears prompting you to enter your last name and your 14-digit library barcode
  • Your library account must be active and clear of obligations in order to access the library online resources

Assigned 14-digit Library Barcode

  • The 14-digit library barcode can be found on the back of your Brookdale Community College identification card. If you do not have a Brookdale ID card, please obtain one at the Donald D. Warner Student Life Center.

America On-line (AOL) and other ISPs Users

Internet Service Providers (ISP) such as AOL provide connection to the internet using their proprietary browser software. These proprietary software often do not allow access to library subscribed online resources. To get around this process, you will need to use your ISP provider to connect to the internet and use another browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox Mozilla or Netscape) to access the Bankier Library online resources

If You Still Cannot Connect Try the Following:

  • Check your computer's firewall setting
  • Check your Internet security settting
  • Check your computer popup blocker
