Grant Acquisition Goal

The primary goal of grant acquisition is to advance the college’s emerging initiatives.  The Office of Grant and Institutional Development works with faculty, staff, and administrators, to generate revenue through grant opportunities aligned with the strategic planning matrix.  The office supports the grant development process from initial planning through project completion.  

Guiding Principles

Provide faculty and staff access to current funding information

Ensure grant development is aligned with college’s strategic planning matrix

Secure college commitment prior to project development

bullet

Develop annual grant agenda in collaboration with President’s cabinet

bullet

Encourage and support active participation in grant development and submission among faculty, staff, and administrators

bullet

Provide technical assistance to faculty, staff, and administrators throughout the grant process (concept through completion)

bullet

Develop or assist project directors in the development of grant budgets

bullet

Write, edit, and submit new grant proposals to advance college initiatives

bullet

Provide oversight for all funded projects to ensure compliance with funding agency requirements

bullet

Maintain accurate record keeping of all grant activity (for use by project directors, college administrator, funding agencies, and external audits)

bullet

Collaborate with the Vice President for Business and Finance and staff to ensure fiscal oversight of funded projects.
