There are a few tips on navigating the NAE screen that might be helpful.

The first thing that you may notice is that to move from one cell to another, for example... from last name to first name,  the TAB key does not work.  You must use the ENTER key to move from cell to cell.  You can also move the cursor by using the mouse and click on these cells to move.  The other way is to use the Wrd Forward and Wrd Back keys at the bottom of the page.  This seems a little confusing at first, but you will get adjusted quickly.

There are also tables that support the input to certain cells.  You will notice that in some cells the input shifts from the cell to the bottom line of the screen.  This happens in the cell that asks for STATE, COUNTY, COUNTRY and ETHNIC GROUP.  When this happens, the data is supported by a "Table" with all the possible choices.  To see this table, type ...  (dot)(dot)(dot) in the space where the cursor is blinking, hit the ENTER key and the table will appear.  You can then choose the correct entry from the table.

In other cells, you can click on the Fld Help and a bar will appear.  Click on the Help button on the bar and the choices for this field will be displayed.

Now that you are familiar with the Name and Address Entry screen, a closer look at the data entry standards will help to insure that we all are using the same conventions.
