Students can track weather patterns, storms and ocean currents directly from satellite downloads that are available 24 hours a day, after they have located the satellites and correctly pointed their antennas.

Tropical storm Marilyn (blue area to lower right corner) passes east of New Jersey. Note the warm (dark red) portions of the Gulf Stream east of New Jersey as well as the storm's eye which appears as the black portion in the lower right corner.

The Gulf Stream typically has temperatures of 75 degrees or warmer off our coast.
