Exhausted Golden and Ruby-crowned Kinglets during fall migration at Sandy Hook
Magnolia warblers like these fly all night on the Spring migration.
In open fields and even parking lots, killdeer race to hatch
their eggs before the crowds arrive on Memorial Day.
This saw-whet owl (1/10/06) is a winter visitor to southern New Jersey
and is rare on Sandy Hook. A few are spotted during the spring migration too.
A red-phase screech owl visits on 7/5/06.
